Image & GIF resizer

Drop an image or an animated GIF. Crop it, fit it to an aspect ratio, set the size by pixels or by target file size, and download. Nothing is uploaded - it all runs on your device.

Other resizers and croppers upload your photo to their server first. This one never does. Your file goes from your browser straight to your downloads folder - no account, no watermark, no size cap beyond what your device can hold in memory.

About this tool

Free, forever, no sign-up. Runs entirely in your browser - nothing is uploaded. Part of techtuate, a growing collection of little tools that just work.

Resize by exact pixels, by a percentage, or by a target file size. Crop by dragging a box, or snap to an aspect ratio - 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, 5:4, the portrait versions, and 12:5 for wide banners. Choose "crop to fill" to trim to the ratio, or "fit with padding" to keep the whole image and add a background color (or leave it transparent). Animated GIFs keep every frame and get cropped and fitted the same way, all locally.

Why "no upload" matters here

Most online resizers and croppers (and every "compress to X KB" site) send your image to a server. For screenshots, ID scans, or anything private, that is a real leak. Your browser already has everything needed to decode, crop, scale, and re-encode an image, so there is nothing to send anywhere.
